Message ago and here were the results:

With original 2.0" inlet/outlet = 230CFM

I had a customer send me his Z1 SMICs to remove the 2.0" IO pipes and install 2.5" 0.065" wall IOs onto them. I then took them to the flowbench and they flowed 290CFM.

Here is an updated flowchart for all of the intercoolers I've tested over the years.

And a plot showing the pressure drop per RPM (engine CFM) across the range.

The Z1 SMICs are comparable to the Stillen sidemounts in terms of flow but it is hard to say how they do on the thermal side.

It has not been easily possible to perform thermodynamic efficiency testing previously and this is the other vital piece of information that will complete the picture in terms of how a given intercooler will perform. Things are different now - we have an in-house dynojet with a 4-channel analog module which will enable us to obtain thermal efficiency data of any given set of intercoolers. We will be doing this testing within the next few upcoming weeks.
